A stay with the entire family at Club MMV Plagne Aime 2000

Miguel and Emma (2.5 years old), from Brussels

30/05/2022

In March 2022, my wife and I chose to go on with the winter holiday season by treating ourselves with a stay in the mountains with our young daughter Emma. Next stop, La Plagne, in Savoy, France, and a brand new hotel that recently entered the Little Guest hotel collection: the Club MMV Plagne Aime 2000.

After a pleasant car trip in Belgium, we discovered this newly renovated establishment right at the foot of this lovely ski station. The hotel lobby immediately seduced us as the whole space instantly made us feel as if we were in a beautiful mountain chalet, with a hearty yet modern woodwork and decoration.

Although we were quite early for the check-in, our room had already been prepared and we were greeted with a welcoming letter. Anecdote: we met the friendly director of this place upon arrival. He immediately offered us charge our electric car right in front of the hotel, despite the unconventional socket it has to be plugged with. It’s not always that easy to find such charging point for this type of vehicle in hotels.

One of the assets of the MMV Plagne hotel is to offer their guests a large choice of rooms specifically designed for families. Ours obviously made no exception to this rule, as the Little Guest conciergerie had found for us a lovely room, which is truly ideal for a couple travelling with a child, boasting with a separated room furnished with a smaller bed for our daughter.

Despite the hotel being unaligned with the ski station, this very comfortable hotel, subtly blending modern lines with clear woodwork was directly opening to the ski slopes and the chairlifts on which Emma couldn’t wait to sit!

Besides our All-Inclusive formula, Little Guest had booked for us ski passes for our stay: needless to say, we skied as much as we could! At the age of 2 and a half, our daughter Emma wouldn’t be allowed to the children’s ski lessons, as the required minimum age is 3. Yet, she had already obtained a star during her first mountain experience, which is why the ski instructor decided that she was then able to follow his lessons that she went to every morning, with an overload of enthusiasm!

She feels really at ease on the skis for her age and loves speed so much that we eventually had to make sure that she stays within a certain perimeter so to avoid an accident. This ESF School (École de Ski Français) in this hotel is perfect, and well thought for skiers of all ages so everyone can enjoy their way. We even took Emma in the chairlifts: she loved it so much that she didn’t want it to ever stop!

« Every day at noon, our daughter joined the baby-club, supervised by her very own nanny »

Every day at noon, after the ski lessons, our daughter joined the baby-club to spend the afternoon and take a nap, supervised by her very own nanny, as all the other children were older than her. What a privilege! For lunch, she was going to the restaurant to have a meal with other children, notably the granddaughter of the hotel director. Very nice.

Regarding catering, the MMV puts every effort in place with their 3-story restaurant and offer a splendidly garnished buffet, from breakfast to dinner. As our daughter is allergic to dairies and eggs, it’s not always easy to find adapted dishes that she can eat, but here we had no problem whatsoever, since the chefs notably offer a large choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes. And every day, skiers have the chance to taste a great selection of comforting specialities from Savoy.

The hotel also contains a very pleasant spa. My wife treated herself with a relaxing massage and a hammam session to unwind. It is a true pleasure to enjoy such moments after long moments going down the snowy slopes.

We came back home absolutely enchanted by this stay at La Plagne! With clubs for children of all ages, its babysitting service and its ski school that allows even the youngest to slide for the first time on the snow, the MMV really makes families’ lives easier.

The atmosphere there is hearty, the staff is friendly, and not to mention the spa and the provided cares that are of great quality. A wonderful discovery for winter holidays, and yet again, a superb address among the Little Guest hotel collection.

Happy holidays, see you soon!
