Holidays at the mountain at Club Med Peisey Vallandry

We arrived at Club Med Peisey Vallandry in the early afternoon for our mountain holidays. After a two-hour drive from Geneva airport, we were greeted by an entire GO team. Everything was very well organized.

Smooth arrival

We were greated by this wonderful mountain view! We were given a luggage tag with our name and room number. Once we had put it on our luggage, we didn’t have to worry about it! It was placed directly in our room. This means we can check in unencumbered and enjoy the detox waters provided. What better way to start our stay.

Once we’ve checked in, we’re directed to our room, where our luggage is waiting for us. All that’s left to do is unpack our belongings into the many storage compartments available in the room. And when you’re on a ski holiday, this storage space is a real bonus.

Comfort, well-being and delicious food

The bedroom is very well appointed, with a bathroom and separate toilet. There’s a sleeping area for the parents, and if we close the sliding door separating the living room from the bedroom, we have a corner for the children.

Once settled into this spacious room with its magnificent mountain views, I enjoyed a spa treatment. The relaxation area is very pleasant, with a very warm welcome. Once through the door, we’re in a bubble of relaxation, with armchairs and meridiennes available, and various detox teas on offer to help us relax as much as possible before receiving our treatment. The practitioners are very smiling and professional, taking time for each customer.

Once the treatment is over, what better way to relax than in the pool and hammam area. The pool has a magnificent view of the mountains, and is half indoor, half outdoor. What a delight when the blue mountain sky and the sun are out.

All that’s left to do before dinner is try out the ski equipment available in the hotel ski shop. In the restaurant, a wide buffet is on offer, enough to delight everyone’s taste buds. The dining room is spacious and airy. It’s the perfect place for a good time.

If you’d like to dine à l’assiette, the Restaurant la Pierra Menta offers traditional, refined cuisine. But remember to book in advance.

A royal welcome for children

What would Club Med be without evening activities for children and parents alike? There’s a show for the little ones and a dance party for the grown-ups! At the bar, the waiters even concoct tailor-made cocktails for you!

After a good night’s sleep, it’s time for an early start on the ski slopes. ESF lessons are available to suit all levels. Departure is directly from the hotel. The GOs are on hand to offer hot chocolate for the kids and genepi for the parents, to keep the spirits up before a great day’s skiing.

A range of services is made available for children, including a Kids/Teens club and a small club for toddlers. Ski lessons are available from the age of 3. And don’t worry, they’re well supervised and have their own learning area at the foot of the Club Med. So you can enjoy the mountains with complete peace of mind.
