An unforgettable stay at Puente Romano

In the spring of 2021, I had the opportunity to spend a few days with my partner at the incredible Puente Romano Beach Resort. What a pleasure to discover a very family-friendly establishment, overflowing with activities and facilities!

A splendid hotel

The resort has an incredible charm! As a matter of fact, despite its size and its many facilities, it has the look of a small Spanish village with its white houses. The rooms and suites are scattered in a outstanding botanical garden superbly maintained! It’s a pleasure to walk through the lush vegetation accompanied by the sounds of nature.

The warmest of welcomes

The welcome is exceptional! We had barely stepped foot in front of the hotel doors when a porter took care of our luggage and showed us the way to the reception. A few minutes later, the check-in was done, we even had the surprise to be upgraded in a Deluxe Junior Suite, more spacious and better located. A member of the staff drove us to our suite with a golf cart, while giving us relevant information about the hotel and its facilities (activities, pools, beach…). Available, smiling and helpful, the staff is very attentive and ready to answer all your questions.

A relaxing sleeping corner

Located on the second floor of the hotel, our suite was about a 5 minute walk from the reception, only 1 minute from the spa facilities and just 2 minutes from the breakfast room. Upon entering, we discovered a few small touches on the bed: chocolates, slippers, bottled water and a weekly activity flyer. Spacious, airy and intimate, the suite consists of a pleasant bedroom and its sitting area, a generous dressing room and a vast bathroom just as large as the main room! As for the exterior, there is a lovely terrace overlooking the hotel’s botanical garden. The cleaning service came twice a day so that we could find it in impeccable condition after each departure.

The facilities of this hotel have the particularity to be very family-friendly, the majority of the rooms can be « connecting ».

A multitude of activities

As for the activities, you certainly won’t be disappointed! Its fantastic tennis complex is great for taking lessons or just practicing, there are even regular tournaments where many celebrities come. Thanks to its other sports facilities, you can also practice fitness, golf, horseback riding, swimming or water sports (paddle, surf, kayak…). As for me, I loved the bike ride along the beach that starts right in front of the hotel. It’s a pleasant 15-minute ride to Puerto Banús, a seaside resort on the Costa del Sol.

During my stay, I went to the kids club to look for the children but I quickly realized that everything happens outside:tennis lessons every morning, activities on the beach, cleaning of said beach, group games… And when it rains, they will have the opportunity to do manual activities but also the chance to do cooking lessons with the chefs! I was able to meet Guy, the children’s club leader, and he explained to me that the leisure activities are very flexible and adapt to the season, the events and the needs of the families.

The hardest part is to choose!

At Puente Romano Beach Resort, 16 restaurants (Thai, Japanese, Spanish, Italian…) await you for a culinary odyssey. The service was impeccable and the waiting time between dishes was just perfect. I highly recommend Nobu, owned by the great chef Nobu Matsushisa. The dishes mix Japanese cuisine and South American ingredients, and the flavors are really incredible! I also enjoyed BiBo, the first restaurant of the chef Dani Garcia where every dish was delicious! The atmosphere, the decoration and the food, a perfect mix that took me on a journey.

Breakfast is enjoyed in front of the ocean from the Sea Grill restaurant. Presented in buffet form, there was a hot and a cold side with lots of variety and choice. We also noticed how the staff was very helpful and attentive with the children.

In summary

If I had to describe my stay in one word, it would be « wow »! Between the relaxed atmosphere, the beauty of the resort, the friendliness of the staff and the delicious food, I was in awe from the beginning to the end of my stay. This wonderful place really exceeded my expectations, I really felt at home. The Puente Romano Marbella did everything possible to make our stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible. We hope to return soon!
