A great family experience at Tamassa

Located in Mauritius, we were delighted with the Tamassa and had a wonderful stay in this exceptional and truly family-oriented resort. We loved all the facilities and activities especially designed for the younger ones.

Families will undoubtedly appreciate this exceptional destination and will benefit from the many services offered by the Tamassa hotel.

As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were given a very warm welcome. We then headed to the hotel reception to check in. The attentive staff took care to answer all our questions and offered us and our son Maxime a welcome drink: a delicious fresh fruit juice. After check-in, which took about 10 minutes, we were escorted to our room.

When we arrived in our room, we were astonished by its beautiful location. It is indeed located on the ground floor and offers us a breathtaking view of the beach. We also appreciated the little surprise that was waiting for us: flowers nicely arranged on our bed and water to refresh ourselves after the road. An umbrella bed had been prepared for Maxime.

As for the bathroom, we were entitled to a walk-in shower and a bathtub. Finally, a Nespresso coffee machine allowed us to enjoy delicious coffees.

We had a cosy stay in this beautiful 50 sqm bedroom.

We particularly enjoyed the spa, which offers a wide variety of treatments. Tamassa changes the game by allowing children to access the spa with their parents.

The place also provides guests with detox water and a selection of dried fruits and nuts.

Finally, the hotel has a beautiful gym that we were able to see.

We tried out the hotel’s two restaurants: the main restaurant, the SHOW, and the restaurant facing the beach, the Playa. The main restaurant offers a varied menu with simple and tasty dishes. The Playa, unlike the main restaurant which is rather noisy, seduced us not only by its typical Mediterranean cuisine but also by its superb location facing the sea. We were served quickly and we had a special children’s menu for Maxime. And to wait, our son was able to colour on the placemat specially designed for children.

The hotel houses a wonderful free kids’ club. The instructors speak French and there were five of them for every fifteen children. When we arrived at the kids’ club, we were greeted by the staff who greeted Maxime by his first name. The place offers many activities, including water sports. Walking around the hotel grounds, games accessible to all but especially designed for children are placed everywhere: a giant chess board, a snooker or a Jenga. On the way to the beach, the youngest guests can enjoy the smaller sunbeds and parasols. Inside the kids-club, a special room for napping is available. The area is really well equipped and designed for children to have a great time!

The team also informed us that a baby-sitting service is available from 9am to 10pm. On request, families with babies can also enjoy dedicated equipment such as bottle warmers, pushchairs, baby monitors, etc.

This hotel is totally up to our expectations! We recommend it to all families who wish to have a pleasant stay in Mauritius.

The hotel is very aesthetic and original, and has an idyllic beach.

We were charmed by the atmosphere of the place and by the kindness and energy of the staff throughout our stay.

Ideal for children, the hotel offers not only an exceptional kids’ club but also a special children’s menu, as well as the possibility to spend relaxing moments with the family at the spa. On the beach, children’s sun loungers are also available for guests.

Finally, the little touch that always appeals to children: the Tamassa food-truck that offers great burgers!

For a family holiday in Mauritius, Tamassa is definitely an excellent choice!
