This was my first time visiting one of the hotels from The Little Guest Hotels Collection. Luckily for me, the next one on the list was the Ikos Aria! I was very excited to discover this prestigious address and I mainly wanted to have a relaxing time. I had never been on Kos island before. It was therefore a double experiment for me and to be honest, I am extremely satisfied!
As planned while making my reservation, a personal chauffeur was waiting for me at the airport to take me to the hotel in a private car. The drive to the hotel was a very pleasant one. I saw quite breathtaking landscapes alternating between olive trees and glances at the Aegean Sea. 15 minutes later, I was at the gates of the Ikos Aria.
Checking in was extremely quick. A butler took care of my suitcases while I was offered a delicious cup of coffee. Shortly afterwards, I was told that my room was ready. I decided to settle into my room and have some rest before seeing the rest of the hotel with the butler.
I was immediately struck by the huge size and the design of the outdoor pool. It is divided into three sections: one for toddlers, another one for children and one for adults. This setup is ideal for parents who wish to enjoy the swimming pool with their children.
The nursery and the kids’ club are decorated beautifully. I honestly think no child could resist them. Everything is made to attract their gaze. I took my role very seriously: I inspected all of the material available for children, I checked whether the playrooms were safe and I met with the organizing team, all of them very nice and qualified people. Everything was perfect.
I was pleased to discover the behind-the-scenes of one of the hotel’s most important services, the kids’ club, which we promote daily on the phone to our clients. I now feel better informed and more confident to answer the parents’ question about kids’ clubs during a reservation.
The Ouzo restaurant offers an amazing sea view and instantly became my favorite spot. The decoration is beautiful, the service is excellent and the greek menu is exquisite. What a delight! I also had dinner in the restaurants that serve Mediterranean and Spanish food. Absolutely flawless.
Since I am not a big fan of physical activity, I did not linger on the sports activities offered by the hotel (even though there is a great range of them). I chose instead to sit behind the wheel of the Ikos Mini Cooper and to tour the main historical sites on the island. Fantastic! Thanks to this amazing offer, the Ikos Aria guests enjoy 12 hours of freedom aboard this lovely car. This is plenty of time to see the island’s best spots. I therefore had the opportunity to see the beautiful archeological sites of Lambi and Platani and the wonderful fortress of Antimachia. They are a marvel! I took at least a hundred pictures.
The car is very comfortable and perfectly suited for Kos’ roads. It can easily seat a whole family travelling with young children. Baby seats are available and the trunk is big enough to contain baby equipment and travel accessories for children.
I am happy I completed my mission successfully at the Ikos Aria. I thank Little Guest for their trust! Thanks to this experience, I got to enjoy the place’s magical atmosphere and to meet extraordinary people who do their best to offer parents and their children an unforgettable stay. As a travel designer, there is nothing more rewarding than to convince a family to visit the Ikos Aria by telling my own experience.
Affectionately,
Katrien
