A cultural and kids-friendly break at the Danieli!

Seeing Venise and simply smile. Thanks to Little Guest, we had the chance to go for a getaway in the Serenissima to stay at the Hotel Danieli, a Luxury Collection Hotel *****. A reference address for a trip in family in the city that truly is worth the try!

The most ancient hotel in the city

We arrived at the Danieli with our two children, impatient to discover this renowned hotel. We are instantly struck by the beauty of this place. In fact, the Danieli hotel is the most ancient of Venice and its walls are covered with explanations regarding its decorations. From columns to paintings, you move through balconies loaded with history.

The personnel stands by the reputation of the Italian hospitality. All the practical information is communicated to us, especially those regarding the children (kids-club, babysitting, …) and we are accompanied to our rooms.

Chocolate and slippers were waiting for each of us in the spacious and very comfortable room. For more tranquillity, we had booked two connecting rooms so the children would have their very own space. The bathroom offers Danieli amenities and water bottles are made available on a daily basis, right after the room service.

Che gustoso!

Time to eat has come! We head to the restaurant Terrazza Danieli on the rooftop of the hotel. We are delighted to see that this restaurant proposes kids menus and menus without allergens, not to mention the high chairs and the baby food. We waited quite a bit for the dishes to arrive, but it was worth the wait.

As the children wanted to have fun and play, we followed the recommendations that we were given at our arrival and headed to the nearby JW Marriott’s kids-club, right by the Hotel Danieli. The price for a whole day is 30€, childminders will welcome your children and offer them many activities. For parents with a baby, a babysitting service is available at the hotel, but you will have to go through the reception to contact a babysitter. All the necessary equipment for toddlers and babies is also made available for free.

Venetian city-trip

As our time in Venice was running short, we took our chance to visit the city. The ideal location of the Hotel Danieli made it easy reach all the nearby attractions and points of interest such as the Palace of the Doges, the Bridge of Sighs or the Piazza San Marco that can be seen from the hotel.

We then wanted to appreciate the beach, for which a 15-minute sail in the vaporetto is required, those famous taxi-boats of Venice, which dropped us on the Island of Lido. The beach is secure and children can play in the water, thanks to the life guards supervising everyone.

We left Venice totally enthralled by this city and by this hotel that well deserves its 5 stars. The service is irreproachable, the quality of the food is excellent and it is all perfectly located at the centre of the lagoon. If we were to come back to Venice, we would undoubtedly head back to the Hotel Danieli.
